Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Pleed! These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between the Customer Organization and the Pleed operator (Mibo Technology LLC). The Customer Organization purchases the Services and authorizes its members to use them. Authorized Users agree to comply with the terms applicable to users when accessing or using the Services.

2. Definitions

In these Terms:

• “Services” refers to all websites, software, Word add-ins, and related functionalities provided by Pleed
• “Customer Organization” means the law firm or other organization purchasing the Services; “Authorized User” means a member whose account is provisioned by the Customer Organization and who is authorized to use the Services; “User” or “you” means an Authorized User accessing or using the Services
• “Content” refers to all data, documents, and information uploaded, created, or stored by users
• “AI Output” refers to analyses, review opinions, translations, reports, and other content generated through AI models

3. License to Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services. You shall not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Services
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Use the Services to develop competing products or services
• Bypass or attempt to bypass any usage restrictions or security measures

4. Account and Security

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information, keep your account credentials secure, and are responsible for all activities under your account.

5. Subscription and Payment

The Services are purchased by a law firm or other organization and are offered on a per-seat subscription or usage-based basis. The Customer Organization must pay fees at the beginning of each billing cycle and is responsible for provisioning and managing accounts for its Authorized Users. Plan details and pricing are stated in our current price list or the order signed by the parties. Fees already paid are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.

6. Demos and Pilots

We may from time to time offer demo or pilot opportunities governed by a separately signed agreement.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant us a limited license solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Services. We will not use your content to train third-party AI models.

8. AI Assistance Disclaimer and Legal Practice Boundary

Pleed is positioned as an “AI legal assistant / assistant tool”. It does not replace a licensed attorney, and does not constitute legal advice or an attorney-client relationship. You understand and agree that:

• AI Outputs may contain errors or omissions and should not serve as the basis for final legal judgments
• Legal opinions, execution of legal documents, and responsibility to clients must be independently made and borne by qualified licensed attorneys
• We are not liable for any losses arising from reliance on AI Outputs
• You shall comply with applicable legal practice rules and confidentiality obligations

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Services to:

• Engage in any illegal, fraudulent, or abusive activity
• Upload malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others, or breach confidentiality
• Send spam or conduct unauthorized mass data scraping
• Generate fraudulent legal documents or engage in illegal activity

10. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Services and their original content are owned by us. The Pleed name, logo, and brand elements are protected by trademark law.

11. Third-Party Services

The Services may integrate third-party APIs or links, which are governed by their respective terms.

12. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality regarding non-public information of the other party, for a period of three years following termination. This does not conflict with attorney-client confidentiality obligations.

13. Data Processing

We process user data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and our Privacy Policy. Enterprise customers may request a Data Processing Agreement (DPA); see the DPA page.

14. Service Level Agreement

Team plan customers enjoy a 99.9% monthly availability guarantee, with service credit compensation if not met.

15. Service Changes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Services at any time, with 30 days advance notice for material changes.

16. Term

These Terms take effect upon your first use of the Services and remain in effect until account cancellation or termination.

17. Post-Termination

Upon termination, we will delete your data within 90 days after account cancellation, except where retention is required by law.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid in the preceding 12 months.

19. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pleed and its affiliates from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms.

20. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delays or failures in performance caused by force majeure events.

21. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s location. Disputes shall first be resolved through amicable negotiation.

22. Amendments

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

23. Miscellaneous

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
